About Me

How I Work

Everyone reaches a point where we realize that "it" just isn’t working anymore. What that “it” is looks different for each person—maybe it’s trying to manage overwhelming anxiety or depression, navigating parenting challenges, struggling in a relationship, or healing from trauma or past abuse.

Everyone reaches a point where we realize that "it" just isn’t working anymore. What that “it” is looks different for each person—maybe it’s trying to manage overwhelming anxiety or depression, navigating parenting challenges, struggling in a relationship, or healing from trauma or past abuse.

Therapy offers a safe space to lay everything out without judgment. It’s also a place to gain new perspectives and learn practical tools and skills that can genuinely help. Life’s circumstances can sometimes cloud our ability to recognize that we do have choices. But remembering that we have the power to shape our thoughts—and ultimately our lives—is essential to recovery and lasting happiness.

I hold onto two simple philosophies:
“We can do hard things.”

“If I want things to be different, I have to do different things.”

My Background

My Background

After earning my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communications from Brigham Young University, I completed my Master of Social Work at the University of Texas—Hook ’em! My husband and I have a son and twin daughters, and we’ve proudly called Austin home since 1998. I grew up in the shadow of Mt. Rainier in Washington State, and our family still heads to the mountains every chance we get.
